Introducing Arche: Point-in-Time SEC Fundamentals for Developers

Updated September 2026 to reflect current coverage and features.

SEC filings get amended and restated. Most data providers overwrite the old figure with the new one. When that happens, you can’t reproduce last year’s backtest or show what a model knew at the time it ran.

Take Axon’s FY2024 10-K, filed in February 2025. It reported $997.6M in current liabilities. In May, a 10-K/A moved $680.3M of convertible notes into current liabilities, and the figure became $1.68B. The current ratio fell from 2.30 to 1.37. Most datasets only show the second number.

Arche turns SEC EDGAR filings into income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements for 17,000 companies, with filings from 2009 to today. It keeps the history:

  • Point-in-time. Query any date and get the figures as they stood then, with no later corrections added.
  • Versioned. A restatement adds a new version instead of overwriting the old one. Each version keeps its filing.
  • Traceable. Every value records its XBRL concept, its source filing, and whether the company reported it or Arche computed it.
  • Reproducible. Ask the same question a year later and get the same snapshot, with the same hash.
  • Checked. Statements are tested against accounting identities, and each check reports the expected and actual values.
  • Survivorship-free. Delisted and acquired companies stay in the data.

Arche is built for quant research, valuation workflows, fintech products and AI agents. Agents can query it directly over MCP.
